The CEO, Andy Byron, and the chief people officer, Kristin Cabot, were seen in an intimate embrace, which led to media attention and their resignations. Astronomer hired Paltrow—who is the ex-wife of Coldplay’s frontman Chris Martin—to respond humorously to common questions about the company in a video that also subtly refers to the scandal without directly mentioning it.
