Kamila Pacassi Zanga was a 23-year-old student in Bolivia who was tragically murdered by a classmate, Edwin Marcos Calle Huanca, after she rejected his romantic advances.

The attack happened in their classroom and was captured on video by a classmate. Despite attempts by others to stop the attacker, Kamila was stabbed 39 times and later died in the hospital. Edwin was sentenced to 30 years in prison for this femicide.

The case has highlighted issues of harassment, stalking, and violence against women in Bolivia, where such crimes remain a serious problem. The video of the attack is widely regarded as graphic and traumatizing, and Kamila’s family has requested that it not be shared out of respect for her privacy.
