While trying to avoid a tag at home plate, Cabrera’s left ankle buckled under his momentum, appearing to snap on the field. He managed to touch home plate but remained on the ground in pain. Trainers from both teams rushed to his aid, and after assessment, Cabrera was taken off the field on a stretcher and transported by ambulance to a hospital for further treatment.
The scene was somber, with players from both teams standing silently on the field, and the crowd at the stadium quiet in concern.
